Christmas! 2009

Here they are all ready for Santa to come. They're nice and clean and ready to go to bed.

WOO HOO!! Ready to open presents!

Daddy's helping Elizabeth open her presents.

Cody tried to open his presents, but he had too much fun with the paper. Elizabeth helped him out and opened the rest for him.

She had so much fun in her new kitchen. I guess she was thinking of baking some Elizabeth since she got in the oven.

5 months old

Cody is finally 5 months old. He's growing well and is a happy little boy. He now eats rice cereal and oatmeal. He likes green beans but not sweet peas. The total opposite of Elizabeth. She won't eat green beans to this day to save her life. Tonight he tried squash for the first time and gobbled down the whole bowl. It must be his favorite. Cody takes about 3 one hour naps a day and sleeps through the night. YAY!!! (Unless he gets a wild hair and then wakes up at 3:00am for no reason.) Cody enjoys playing with the links and hanging pets in his little play area. He is probably teething since he drools all the time. He's still a smiley, happy little boy and I love to give him lots of hugs and kisses.

Oh yeah, he can roll from his tummy to back and he's working on rolling from his back to tummy. He's almost got it.

Sweet teddy.

Christmas time is here!!

While Elizabeth and Cody were away at Nana and Pappy's house we put up the tree so Elizabeth would be suprised when she came home. Jeff brought her in the house. She was still sleepy and cranky from the long trip home. Just as she was about to start crying and throw a fit he showed her the tree and she started smiling and saying TREE. She smiled the whole time she walked over and inspected the tree and its lights. I got her to start helping me decorate the tree. So, a lot of the ornaments aren't really hung on the tree. They're placed right were she left them....at the bottom branches.

Look at the concentration on her face as she tries to get to loop open so she can hang the ornament on the tree.

Ok, ok. Elizabeth was really excited about hanging the ornaments and didn't really wait for me to take the wrapping off of this ornament before she started putting it on the tree.

Ooooh, the Texas boot! Yes, it's a glass ornament.

Even with all the work she did, Elizabeth still found time to play with Cody.

Yep, she going back for more ornaments. She's such a great helper.

Happy Thanksgiving

Welp, Elizabeth was the first one ready to head off to Nana and Pappy's house for Thanksgiving. She occupied her time by walking around the front yard while we loaded the car.

I was trying the get a good picture of her, but she kept walking away and then she wouldn't quit saying BA BA BA. So, it is what it is.

Here's a picture of CODY in his cool onsie for his 1st Thanksgiving.

Aunt Mandy (Vivienne is still growing in her belly), Cody, and Nana.

Tyler and Elizabeth were playing catch with Uncle Aaron. Well, Aaron was throwing the ball back and forth to Tyler. Elizabeth just ran around and followed the ball if it hit the ground. Pretty funny in person. Jeff and I took off while they were playing. She just waved bye and kept playing. LOOK! You can see her waving. She blew a few kisses too.

It was a fun Thanksgiving.

Uhh....procratination

Welp, tomorrow........I mean today is Thanksgiving! It's 1:00am and I'm up baking a pie. So here's the story. I was supposed to make an apple pie, but Lauren told me today that I'm supposed to make pumpkin or we won't have one. So I'm making both. I thought I could make both pies in the morning, but the more I thought about it, the less confident I was that I could make and bake two pies before we were supposed to leave for Lumberton. Now I'm still awake waiting on the pumpkin pie to finish cooking. It has 13 minutes left to bake. YAY!!! I hope it tastes good. It smells good. =)

I still have to make the apple pie in the morning. Cody's crying. BYE!
Look at how happy he is to be awake at 1:30 in the morning!!! Oh well, no rest for the weary.

Happy Halloween

YAY! It's time to get lots of CANDY!!! Ok, so it's time for the PARENTS to get lots of candy. Hahahaha. The day before Halloween Elizabeth and Cody got a pumpkin full of candy from Ms. Sue. Yay! We didn't have to go trick or treating to get candy. SO the day of Halloween I had to go to the school to do the Fall Festival. Luckily I have awesome parents this year that volunteered to set up and work our booth. I didn't have to be there until 10:00. While I was at the Fall Festival, Mimi came over to our house to help watch the kids. The report was that they were good all day. After being dunked a lot, I headed home and started sewing Elizabeth's costume at 5:00. We had all the parts, but I had to cut out the material and sew her costume to fit her. I didn't have a pattern so I just kind of guessed. When 7:00 rolled around TA DA it was finished...... We packed up and headed off to FBC Huffman for their fall festival. It was freezing! Cody slept the whole time, but Elizabeth was excited about walking around and playing games. She ended up LOVING the big blowup slide. Jeff took her up to the top and let her slide down. She loved it and would say WEEEE each time. Once she got to the bottom, she would flap her arms and say again. SO I would take her and hand her back up to Jeff who would then again slide her down. It was lots of fun.

The Koon kids decked out for Halloween

The cutest little monkey on the planet! He had a little tail and everything.

There's no place like home. There's no place like home. Can you guess who she is? That's right! Dorothy complete with sparkley ruby shoes.

One Saturday Morning...

This morning we walked to the doughnut shop at the front of our neighborhood with our friends and neighbors. Issac and Elizabeth sat in the front and had fun kicking their feet while Brenna and Cody sat inthe back chilllin'. We had lots of fun! Elizabeth tried chocolate milk for the first time. She made a face each time she drank it, but she always wanted more. I guess we'll stick with white milk for the time being.

Here we are getting ready. Cody is already strapped in and ready to go. Elizabeth is telling him secrets.
Here's a picture of the AWESOME Elmo chair. Of course Isaac was the one that introduced Elizabeth to Elmo. When we got in the house, she went around identifying EVERYTHING that was Elmo. (She even pointed out the ones on Isaac's shoes.)

Isaac loooooooves Cody. Here he is giving him kisses and telling him something.

Brian was outside mowing the yard. The kids waved HI!

3 months old!

Wow! I can't believe Cody is already 3 months old. Time is flying by and he's doing cute things every day. Every time you talk to him he'll smile at you. He's VERY kicky when you lay him on his back. He's an all around cute little boy and I LOVE him.

How's my hair look?

Elizabeth wanted this headband on her head, but didn't want to keep it the way I put it on there. She decided to do it HER way. I guess that's how it's going to be from now on. She's independent. =)

Ahh, milk!
She's a cute little hippee!
That's right people. She put it on this way and she loved it!

Dare to Compare

Ok, so I realized that we took almost the exact same picture with both kids. The first picture is when Elizabeth was born and the second is Cody. They look kind of alike in these pictures. I think it's cool to see how we've changed. Yeah........so my hair got longer and Jeff grew a beard. =)

Little dancers have snack too.

I made this tutu for Elizabeth for Halloween last year. Yes, it was made the night before. It was waaaaaaaay too big for her then and is still a little too large. She really loves wearing it and spinning around. The only time she was still enough to take pictures was during her snack.

My little cuties

Yeah, so life has certainly been an adventure since Cody has come. Elizabeth is learning lots of new things! Oh yeah and she's getting in to WAY more things too. She's doing a great job at being a big sister.

So here's a picture of Elizabeth at Nana's house. She WAS doing a great job drawing on the easel and then got QUIET.......You know what that means. Well, now I do. Something BAD is going on. I figured that she thought her body was a better canvas instead of the paper. I think green is her new favorite color.
Cody is adorable as always. =)

Awwww, sleepy babies.

Yeah, she's really excited about something. I can't remember what it was.

Our Morning

Elizabeth enjoyed a little Fox News while Cody kept trying to put his pacifier back in his mouth. He's getting better at it I must say.
Here's a happy little boy! He kept smiling and cooing. It was so cute.

Yes, her hair is doing that all on its own. That's how she woke up. I think it has that nice wind blown look. Now I know how important it is to comb her hair before she goes to bed and not let her hair just air dry.

Elizabeth is making Cody wave. What a good big sister...she's already telling him what to do. =)
